Tipperary Cocktail No.1 9.00
chartreuse, irish whiskey, italian vermouth
written for a 5 shilling bet in 1912, “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary” became a popular anthem of the British Army during WWI. The song details the correspondence between Paddy and his love in Ireland, Molly. By 1916 the song was commemorated in cocktail form. An alternative ending supplied by soldiers tells us France is where Paddy first learnssssss to “tickle” a girl, and may give insight into the cocktail’s use of both French and Irish liquors

the green fairy has returned after a nearly centruy long band. served in the traditional French manner with sugar spoon, water fountain and Pontarlier glassware, this historical spirit is a distillate of sweet fennel, anise and contains a full measure of Grand Wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium). see server for brand availability and pricing
